Microneedling
Microneedling or derma needling is a cosmetic aesthetic procedure. This procedure at the Trivine Salon involves puncturing the epidermal and dermal tissue (skin) with tiny (0.35mm in diameter) sterilized needles bound in a plastic disposable cartridge. These tiny micro channels or small puncturing holes that cause your body to manufacture more collagen and elastin from the fibroblasts, which will heal in the skin and help the skin look more youthful. Another term used for this procedure is collagen induction therapy (CIT).
What are the benefits?
Microneedling can assist with issues like: Acne scarring, pitting, stimulating hair loss (also called alopecia), lightening dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation) cause by PIH, enclosing large pores, reduced skin elasticity, scars, stretch marks, improving sun damage, reduce the overall appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Microneedling is an inexpensive treatment compared to all the other laser treatments, which can cost about four times as much. Microneedling is a good treatment for the darker skin toned clients, unlike lasers microneedling doesn’t involve heat and the absorption of darkness and light. Recent Studies have recorded evidence that sunbathing can increase one’s risk of developing a form of skin cancer and contrary to popular belief, getting a tan will not protect your skin from sunburn or other skin damage.
But what exactly is spray tanning? How does it work? Where do I get it done?
A spray tan is a cosmetic treatment in which the skin is sprayed with a alcohol based product containing elements that’s fast reacting with the skin (within 3 – 8hrs) to produce an artificial suntan.
Spray tanning is a form of self-tanning, professionally done in a salon (or sunless tanning) – a fine soft mist is sprayed onto your skin in sections, this fine mist has an ingredient in it called Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) that interacts with your own skin’s keratinized cells to turn the skin darker, or bronze. This is not permanent at all, it’s a temporary effect which generally only lasts from 3-7 days and can last up to two weeks if looked well after. This procedure is completely safe for your skin, although it doesn’t provide any form of UV ray protection against the sun, SPF still needs to be administered.
The outcome from this treatment can be generally very good if it is applied well. Many South African celebrities and overseas models loves spray tanning due to its non-damaging effects on the skin and to just about anything else to get the tan and bronzing colour they desire.

What is
Spider Vein Removal
This treatment is performed using the diode laser machine. A very fine filament laser beam is used along with a current applied into the skin, to coagulate the spider vein (telangiectasia) immediately and giving it an overall white appearance.
